The Wee Acorn Pod

Wee Acorn Pod is tucked away in a quiet corner of our impeccably landscaped grounds. On arrival, designated parking lies next to the lodge and a spacious deck with warm mood lighting offers a relaxing platform from which to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Inside, this cosy, luxurious pod features a lounge, dining area and fully equipped kitchen with double hob, oven, and fridge/freezer (stocked with our welcome bottle of Prosecco, chocolates and fresh milk). The spacious double bedroom is served by an en-suite with sumptuous robes and fluffy towels.

Opposite your lodge, is your own private sheltered hot tub, meaning it can be enjoyed no matter what the weather is doing. A network of small pathways lead through our manicured lawned gardens of almost two acres. Take a seat on one of the many benches or on the set of swings at the top of the garden and enjoy the panoramic views across the River Endrick and surrounding countryside, to the Conic Hill and Ben Lomond.

Check-in is normally 4pm and check-out is 10am Monday – Saturday. We are happy to offer a 12 o’clock noon checkout on Sunday.

Please get in touch if you would prefer a change to these times as we try to be as flexible as possible to accommodate your requirements.

There is space for at least two vehicles at each lodge and four at Oakwoods House.

If you and your guests are planning on bringing more than two vehicles to your lodge please advise us in advance. The grounds are spacious and this simply ensures we arrange things to ensure you have the space expected on arrival.

Absolutely. We welcome pets in three of our lodges and one of our pods. The lodges are Ben Lomond, Montrose and Inchmurrin which are all three-bedroom lodges and the Wee Oak Tree Pod.

We have an electric gate at the entrance and expansive grounds for you and your pets to explore. Our grounds border surrounding fields and countryside where some peaceful walking routes are easily accessible.

There is a limit of two dogs per lodge and one small dog in the pod and all we ask is that you respect the peace and privacy of other guests.

We provide a small pet welcome pack comprising of a bowl and towel.

All of our lodges and pods have charcoal BBQs next to outdoor furniture. Our Wee Secret Apartment has an electric BBQ. Utensils are provided, however, we do not supply charcoal, firelighters or matches.

There is a train station in Balloch with frequent rail services to Glasgow and further afield. We are located 6.5 miles (10.5 km) from Balloch and easy to reach via taxi or bus service. Please see our “Location” page for further information on transport to and from Lomond Luxury Lodges.

The 309 bus service by McColls runs from Balloch to Balmaha, passing the front of Lomond Luxury Lodges. The bus operates a ‘hail and ride’ service meaning it will pick-up and drop off at the gates of the lodges providing you hold out your hand. It is a quick and efficient way to reach Balloch, Balmaha or Drymen.

The hot-tubs and spa bath are set to power off at 11pm and come back on at 7am. This is simply to respect other guests as while the pumps and motors that operate these are generally very quiet there is often increased volume levels from conversation while using these.

The hot-tubs will remain hot for many hours and the spa bath will still function as a bath out-with these times and if you do use them please be respectful of other guests and we expect them to be respectful to you.

Please leave your property in a similar condition of cleanliness as it was in when you arrived. Please ensure all doors are locked and all rubbish and food items removed. Please place any dirty dishes into the dishwasher and leave this on a wash cycle when you leave.

Please turn off all lights, lock all doors and windows and deposit the main key in the key-drop box attached to the front of the small reception pod next to the main gate.
